From Cape Town to Porth Elizabeth
Expedition associated with the project funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (PIs: Modesto Luceño and Santiago Martín-Bravo)
This trip aimed to collect specimens from Carex sect. Schoenoxiphium for genomic, cytological and morphological studies.
Day 0 (October 07th 2017): Due to different delayed flights we started the expedition one day late, so we had to stay at Johannesburg
Day 1 (October 08th 2017): Arrival to Cape Town and ascent to Table Mountain
Day 2 (October 09th 2017): Koue Bokkeveld Mountain Catchment area
Day 3 (October 10th 2017): Cederberg Wilderness Area
Day 4 (October 11th 2017): Calvinia (Hantam Mountains)
Day 5 (October 12th 2017): Towerkop Nature Reserve
Day 6 (October 13th 2017): From Ladismith to Mosselbaai, collecting everything in between
Day 7 (October 14th 2017): Surroundings of Gondwana Game Reserve
Day 8 (October 15th 2017): Porth Elizabeth
Day 9 (October 16th 2017): Surroundings of Addo Elephant National Park
Day 10 (October 17th 2017): Back to Spain
